You're breaking into your 92-year-old grandmother's abandoned childhood home. You've been fascinated by stories about her younger years for most of your life, but last summer you finally decided to record her reminiscing so you could share those stories with the online world. Brukel is a first-person exploration game centered on the memories of Bie Verlinden, grandmother of Belgian game designer Bob De Schutter. Players visit Brukel's abandoned farm and use their smartphone camera to illustrate Bie's authentic stories. As time passes, the house takes players on an emotional journey through some of the traumatic events Bie has lived through. The game's main mechanic is using a camera phone to take photos of various items in the house. When you correctly identify and take a photo of an item, you will hear Bie tell a story related to the object. However, as the night goes on, the ghosts of Bie's past emerge as her stories change further. Are you ready to face the hardships that Bie experienced as a teenager?
