You are a treasure hunter on a quest to find Gaia, a planet said to be home to the Ancients. It is said to host incredible ancient technology that can bend time itself. However, when your ship approached this particular planet, something went wrong with your engine, which caused a chain reaction of explosions, which only you survived when you crash-landed on the planet. From this point on, you will decide how the story continues and ends. A closer look at the game mechanics: ° Three different AI storytellers: Cora Core, Tranquillio Pax, and RNGesus Silvius. Each storyteller offers a different type of gameplay experience, from a nice increasing difficulty curve, to a cooler sandbox experience, to something even RNGesus can't predict. ° Harvest various types of minerals, alien flora and underwater resources. ° Construct modular buildings like assembly plants, floors, walls, energy-producing buildings, and more to build a base. ° Craft items, vehicles, blueprints and ammunition. ° Manage your needs, such as hunger, thirst, rest and leisure. ° Survive attacks by space pirates or wild animals. ° Notable Events: – Incursions: air or land, by local fauna or space merchants. These space mercenaries can come in spaceships to rain fire on your base or drop directly onto the planet and get personal. – Nox Event: Poisonous meteorite explodes in the atmosphere, enveloping the atmosphere in poison and slowly killing everything that breathes. – Solar flare: causes fire tornadoes, spreading fires that can damage almost anything, including animals which, in turn, spread the fire if caught. – Meteor shower: Mostly visual, but also provides a nice boost to your well-being while active. – Commercial ships: negotiate with the different factions. ° Day and night cycle with incredible weather and seasons. This isn't just a visual thing; this affects gameplay. Rainy weather will put out the fire while at night your solar panels will not work. Wind influences the efficiency of your turbines. In winter, your crops will die if the temperature drops too low. ° Grow your own food. ° Manage your electrical system to ensure all buildings have enough power to operate. ° Gaia contains intelligent AI, such as cowardly AI (e.g. deer) that runs away from you if you get too close, passive AI like most other wild animals, aggressive AI like most monsters and all space pirates, or territorial AI like wolves and sand scorpions.Gaia is designed to invoke feelings of adventure, survival, and triumph. Inspired by games like Rimworld, Tower Defense, RPG and even Paradox, Gaia has a little bit of everything. From the sandbox experience of Minecraft, the wave survival of tower defense games, to the beautiful graphics of RPGs like Skyrim and Subnautica, the game will provide you with a unique gaming experience.You have your own needs that affect gameplay, such as hunger and thirst. Make sure to eat prepared foods, drink water, rest occasionally, relax by watching the sunset, go to the bathroom when necessary, and wash your hands. Failure to do so will cause problems such as lowering your maximum health, running speed, or mental health, which in itself can cause some pretty serious problems. Choose from 4 different biomes whenever you want to start a new game. Your starting location affects your gameplay experience, as you may start on the beach near the ocean or somewhere deep in a dense or sparse forest. Each map presents its own challenges and advantages and it's up to you to adapt to the situation. Gaia has a complex climate system, containing a day-night cycle and a system of dates, wind, rain and temperature. These factors affect you and also how some of your buildings work, like turbines. Remember to take all of this into account when deciding what to build or what to do at any point in the day. You can also prepare for winter while it's still warm outside. Grow your own food and cook complex recipes, some that may require alien flora or meat. Every vegetable you grow has its own advantages or disadvantages, such as nutrition, growing season, and harvest quantity. Choose from corn, peppers, carrots, onions, cabbage or even leeks. Explore the depths of the ocean. You will need to build a submersible to reach deeper levels if you want to find diamonds and gold. Watch out for the biomechanical whale and other mysteries you can discover underwater.
