The year 1989 is upon us and the fight for survival continues. The hope of finding the lost people begins to diminish. You and your friends continue to do your best to stay away from the invading machines and scour abandoned places for weapons and equipment. However, the recent reconnaissance missions you carried out with your friends have brought unexpected results: structures that appear to have been erected by FNIX machines have started to appear along the southern coast of Östertörn. At least it appears that there are also survivors, scattered along the south coast, in the archipelago and in the farm region, forming a resistance against the invaders. EXPANSION PACK HIGHLIGHTS ALTERED LANDSCAPES Returning to the previously explored areas of Östertörn, you discover that the machines have been busy reappropriating the land to meet their needs. Massive fortified walls, ominous glowing generators, and a massive network of cables are some of the structures you've spotted while spying on the region. Nearby cities are in ruins, exploited by Harvesters who take all useful resources and leave behind only a shadow of what the buildings once were. It's unclear what FNIX plans, but it's not a good thing. RESISTANCE GROWS His return to the archipelago and the farm region also brings a glimmer of hope as he finds signs of human resistance. Before you associated the region with the army's fight against the machines at the beginning of the invasion, which left clear marks on the area, with ruined cities, destruction and death wherever you looked. Now you discover that some people managed to survive despite the improbability. Groups of survivors managed to take shelter in key points, using strategic positions to protect themselves and maximize damage against the machines. Bad luck can mean the end of your team or leave you stranded dodging bullets and trying to get out of a sticky situation. So, while exploring Östertörn's countryside, look for brännboll tacos and mallets. The most rudimentary weapons are perfect for stunning an unsuspecting Hunter or simply tearing a Tick to smithereens. APOCALYPSE CLASS HARVESTER It seems that FNIX is busy not only with the construction of structures on the south coast. Sightings of Apocalypse-class Harvesters have confirmed what you feared, and although their focus is on collecting resources around the new buildings, they have also been spotted in other regions. Although they are usually accompanied by other Apocalypse-class machines, they are also formidable on their own, known for using biological aerosol and even radiological missiles when you try to intercept them.
