A country divided by the Wall. To cross it and find your family, you must compete in – and win – a reality show broadcast by the Regime.Ministry of Broadcast is a cinematic platform game, with a focus on its narrative, mixing George Orwell's book 1984 with reality shows of modern television. Full of dark humor, sarcasm and an absurd view of the system. Seemingly built in one night, The Wall divided a country in two, and separated a man from his family. To see her again, our red-haired protagonist decided to become a participant in the "Show da Muralha", a TV program organized by the Regime, offering contestants the opportunity to gain freedom on the other side. However, while advancing through the settlement, our participant soon realizes how exactly the Regime operates. The promise of freedom is not exactly what it seems. Inspired by games like Prince of Persia (1989) and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus, Ministry of Broadcast revives the spirit of classics in the platform genre, where the player needs quick reflexes and calculated jumps, as well as an aversion to falling from precarious places. To achieve freedom, and your family, you must lead the protagonist through each of the Arenas, always carefully watched by the Regime's mechanical eye. You'll have to survive a variety of environments filled with dangers and obstacles—leg-breaking falls (afraid of heights?), flaming trash barrels (super smelly and super hot), inconveniently located spear pits (of course), hanging metal (so much rust)—but none of this is to tell the fate of those you meet along the way.FEATURESA cinematic platformer: Run, jump, smash and climb your way through each Arena as the narrative unfolds. Most of the story is revealed through integrated animation sequences, the environments, or NPCs muttering snippets of dialogue as you jump and run through them.Environmental HUD: Instead of a screen crowded with gauges, health bars, and mini maps, all the information the player will need is integrated into the environments. Hints and clues are woven into the game's art, sudden and specific. Players will need a careful eye if they want to survive each Arena without breaking their legs. Solving the puzzles: Use your intelligence, and sometimes a desperate run, to advance through the Arenas. You'll have to interact with the environments themselves to solve most of the puzzles: whether using the protagonist's momentum to move platforms, or pulling an occasional lever, or even sacrificing an NPC or two to cross a pit of spears. History and personality: Lots of devilish humor, type-A sarcasm and comedic antics, all perfectly balanced with the heavy and dark theme present in this dystopian world.
