About This Content
“What was it like back then? Just pure joy, I was told. Entire civilizations, rendered for stimulants. The stars dried out their power, for a decade after a decade. Ah, to be alive and powerful in the last days of the Empire – before we had terms…” – Gyrthineus Roche, former Archon of the Last Blade. The Drukhari are an ancient race that has fallen into degeneration and depravity, with their remnants only surviving in the immense cities of the Webway. Although they suppressed the psychic power of their Aeldari kin, they replaced it with supernatural agility and rapacious cruelty. Their webway lighting attacks carry wealth and captives to Dark Commorragh, where they suffer intensely throughout their short lives... The Power of Pain Gameplay Mechanics: As pain spreads across the battlefield, Drukhari is invigorated, thriving from suffering. Your units gain additional bonuses depending on their experience level. CORSAIR Outposts: The Drukhari rarely venture outside the webway except to plunder realspace resources. Your cities have a reduced growth rate, but it can be improved by controlling more outposts. Webway Raid: The Drukhari strike quickly from the webway, before disappearing with their loot. Pay influence to create temporary portals and activate webway doors to move your raid party onto the map. Aeldari Stronghold and Drukhari are always fighting against access to the Webway. Cities found in activated webway gates from which you can unleash your forces in Gladius Prime.Soul Hunger: The souls harvested by the Drukhari are an invaluable resource used for their malevolent schemes. Destroying an enemy unit rewards you with influence that can be traded for economic boosts and combat effects. Combat Drugs: Lack of Drukhari HaemoMensculi renders some captives on powerful stimulants. Infantry units can pay with influence and hit points for temporary buffs that allow them to overcome their opponents. Culture of Betrayal: Drukhari are a cruel race, and only an enormous display of wealth will convince them to serve – as long as it also serves their interests. Drukhari cities have lower loyalty, but gathering influences more loyalty. Blade Artists: Blades have a ubiquitous place in Drukhari culture, and each commissioner learns this from a young age. Drukhari units receive bonus armor penetration in melee. Raider Tactics: When attacking a new world of prey, the Drukhari attack en masse from their specially designed vehicles to land troops as close to the fighting as possible. Drukhari transports are all assault transports and Drukhari infantry units can gain combat bonuses when detaching.
